Monday, July 1, 2011 Got back to Michigan last night, working today on edits for High Impact. I’ve immersed myself in Bettles, Alaska ( a welcome diversion as it’s 91 and humid today at home). Driving to and from work, I’m listening to my new audiobook of Breaking the Ice...then I come home and edit High Impact, which is also set in and around Bettles. It was great fun revisiting Bryson and Karla from Breaking the Ice, and Chaz and Megan from Whitewater Rendezvou, who all play major roles in the new book. Emery Lawson, who is making a major change in her life after a near-death experience, and Pasha Dunn, a woman with an extraordinary ‘sixth sense, make up the new couple at the center of the story.  Monday, June 27, 2011 I’m in Europe at the moment, working with Xenia Alexiou on the fifth book in the Elite Operatives Series, Demons are Forever.  I love the way this story is going, and we’ve really been churning out the pages, averaging 3-4500 words a day for several days now. Nice that I was here when Missing Lynx won a Golden Crown Literary Society Award. Wednesday, July 21, 2011 Copy edits on High Impact are done, so it’s back to work on Demons are Forever. Just got the new cover. Isn’t it awesome? Sheri has designed all my book covers, and really does a splendid job of capturing the spirit of every story. Saturday, October 15, 2011 I know I’ve been lousy about keeping up with this blog. I’ll try to do better! It’s just been crazy busy at home. The summer flew by, with two books to get finished and edited and a lot of home improvement projects going on. I had my screened in porch converted to a year-round writing room. Nice view, don’t you think? Kim Baldwin I’ve been terrible about keeping up a blog, despite my best intentions. Ill health through much of the end of 2011 and into January 2012 kept me away from my computer, and it’s time consuming to keep the website current, so I’m going to start blogging online soon instead. Stay tuned!
